Originally from Texas, Laurie Styvers was a gifted songwriter with an enchanting voice conjuring superb late-60s/early-70s British pop. She was a student in late-'60s London, where she recorded 'Spilt Milk' (1971) and 'The Colorado Kid' (1973).
